Head of Industrial Design@littleBits

  • Joined littleBits with the objective to create a tool to allow anybody to be a creator and inventor with  technology regardless of their background

  • Designed the magnetic connector included today in every module of the current  platform and in millions of modules worldwide

  • Recruited and mentored a multidisciplinary design team of +15 people that formed  the different core design teams in the company

  • Transitioned into an R&D role where I pushed the boundaries of the ecosystem of  the platform, to create a business category of a product that is today replicated by many companies across the globe

  • Embedded in the Supply Chain group, went back into product development hiring mechanical engineers to assist the exponential increase of this area after the partnership of littleBits and Disney/LucasFilms, as the company grew over 120 employees

  • littleBits sold to Sphero in 2019

littleBits it’s a library of electronic modules, snapping with with with magnets, that allow anybody to use technology in their projects, regardless of their technical background. Much like ‘electronic Legos’ where the technology becomes another material to build with

littleBits used products (‘kits’) to demystify different areas and break into people’s culture and education, partnering with key players on each area:

The development of the platform was pushed way beyond the limits of what was ever released, and its creation capabilities were endless

Thousands of people around the world created incredible projects with it, embedding the modules in the most amazing projects, using complex logic available in the platform.

It’s been used to power installations in stores or window displays like the ones at the MoMA in the Museum of Art in NYC, where littleBits is part of the Permanent Collection.
