VP Engingeering @ Smallhold
Developed replicable and manufacturable Minifarm units, and deploy them all over the country
Designed and built with Smallhold several custom made farms in restaurants and hotels, remotely managed with the same system designed as well in-house
Led a multi-disciplinary Engineering team (HW , SW, Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, BioSystems) to design, commissioning and implement successfully from the ground, the Smallhold technologies and infrastructures in 3 different facilities across the US: New York (4,000 sqft / 2,500lb mushrooms/week); Texas (20,000sqft / 18,000lb/week) & Los Angeles (22,000 sqft / 20,000lb/week)
Drove the team to design ‘farmLinc’ (hardware+software), capable of controlling a remote ecosystem of Minifarms and the local/urban ‘macro’ farms, collecting for analysis 1B points/year
Made up of multiple subsystems, ‘farmLinc’ allows Smallhold to collect and analyze massive amounts of actionable data, while allowing them to control its climate systems in ways otherwise unable to find from existing control manufacturers on the market.
Built and integrated the Smallhold’s Climate Recipe system, it was estimated it can reduce harvest times up to an 18%.
Integrated Smallhold’s farmLinc with the company’s ERP (NetSuite), opening the door to features like a predictive inventory tool for cultivators.
